This dress was so much fun to make! After a bit of discussion with Amber about what she would like to wear, we decided on a simple boat neck , unstructured bodice with a double circle skirt.
The bias border at the hemline was added to match the wide sash that I made long enough to go around her waist three times and tie in a large tailed bow at the center back.
For the wedding day touch, I added half inch buttons all the way down the back at the zipper. Amber’s dress is made of 100% silk.

While I was somehow blessed with not needing alterations for the gown, I was interested in finding a second, more casual dress to change into on my wedding day and was having a very hard time finding one. I had mentioned this to Julie and she offered up her dress making skills!
